Clarinet Queen Doreen Ketchens plays with MSO
Doreen Ketchens – the Clarinet Queen of New Orleans – is a
virtuoso jazz clarinetist who has performed at concert halls, music festivals, and U.S.
embassies, and for four U.S. presidents. A cultural ambassador of New Orleans, Ms. Ketchens is
the featured guest artist for Laissez les Bons Temps Roulez!. on May 4, 2024.
With
Maestro James Villani and the MSO, Ms. Ketchens is playing Dixieland jazz
favorites in custom arrangements, such as Basin Street Blues, Just a Closer Walk with Thee, and
When the Saints go Marching In.
